Tower mill, now house. c.1820, converted and extended c.1970. Mixed red
and stock brick. C20 leaded roof with timber parapet. Conical with a
pronounced batter. 4 storeys. C20 windows in original round headed
openings, most with drip moulds. Timber steps up to first floor timber
balcony running all the way around. Glazed entrance in c.1970 extension
of no special interest. Interior not inspected. No machinery or sails
surviving. (B. Johnson Industrial Archaeology of Hertfordshire, 1970:
