House. Mid to late C17, extended in C19 and 1909, date on rainwater head.
C17 core is ground floor brick, rendered, first floor timber frame,
roughcast. Brick additions, part whitewashed. Tiled roofs. Original 3
bay 1 storey and attic range to front. Ground floor: entrance to left,
3 light timber glazing bar casements, 3 gabled dormers. Left gable end
has a casement and sham timber framing. To right end and set back is a
C19 addition with a canted bay and a gabled dormer to front, an axial
stack on front pitch with 4 diagonal shafts adjoins early range. Right
gable end first floor oriel over a C20 lean-to. Gabled projections to
rear of early range link to large late C19 and 1909 additions, earlier
has a tilehung canted bay to right, entrance and sash to left, half
hipped roof. Later has canted bay, 2 light casements, dentilled gable,
2 full height canted bays to rear. Interior: ground floor chamfered
bearers, jowled posts, braces to cambered tie beams, queen struts to
collars clasping purlins, windbraces.
