House. c.1840-50. Stuccoed brick. Slate roof. 2 storey 3 bay villa.
Central door with rectangular fanlight. Flanking ground floor shallow
canted bays with casements all screened by a slender wood post verandah
with a scalloped valance to a leaded roof. First floor sashes in reveals
with slightly cambered heads. Scalloped valance eaves and bargeboards.
Extruded right end stack. The White Cottage is slightly taller than
Sarratt House (q.v.) which adjoins to the left and has a more steeply
pitched roof. Interior not inspected. Included for group value.
