2/320 Plough Cottage


GV II


House. Mid to late C17, extended C19, altered C20. Timber frame,
whitewashed brick nogging and part rebuilding. Tiled roof. 2 bays. 2
storeys. Central entrance with a later hipped timber porch. Ground floor
left 3 light timber casement. Ground floor right 2 lights with a
cambered head. First floor 2 light casements with some exposed framing
to left, jowled posts, studs and mid rail. Left gable end large external
stack with offsets and a lean-to attached towards rear. Exposed braces,
queen struts to collar clasping purlins in gable. 3 light casements in
right gable end. Catslide roof over lean-to outshut to rear right. To
rear left a C19 flint and brick addition with casement windows and an
entrance. Interior not inspected.
