GV II


House. Late C18, extended late C19 or early C20. Red brick. Hipped tile
roof. 2 storeys and partially obscured basement. 4 bays originally,
extended by 1 bay to left. Entrance in 2nd bay from right, panelled door
and semi-circular traceried fanlight all in arched reveal. Glazing bar
sashes in shallow reveals, gauged brick flat arched heads. First floor
small 6 pane sashes. Mutuled timber eaves cornice. Cross axial stack at
original left end. Basement windows to left. 3 storey right return has
C20 alterations including a large 1st floor canted bay. Scattered sashes
and casements on left return and to rear. Large slightly extruded stack
to rear right adjoins The Old Cottage (q.v.).
