GV II

House. Cl7 or earlier, S wing c1980. Timber frame roughcast
with smooth margins round windows. Steep old red tile roofs. A
2-storeys house in 2 parts angled along roadside with new wing of
2 storeys running S from E part. Formerly facing road on N now
entered from S. W part has L-plan central chimney with front rib
and appears to be slightly earlier than E part. W room probably
a parlour and E range a large service wing with later external E
gable chimney. W part has a 3-light flush casement window to
each floor of W gable, and a 2-light and 3-light ground floor
windows on N side with a single 3-light upper window to room over
hall. The N wall of the E wing has a single 2-light window on
each floor and the E gable has a small window to each side of the
gable stack.
