2 houses in one block. C18 ('1748 restored 1929' on front) W end
of No 52 (1983). Timber frame exposed with white infill panels.
Steep thatched roof. Red brick chimneys. A long 2-storeys block
facing S with W gable to road. Each house has 3 windows and
central door with a chimney rising at ridge between door and end
furthest from centre. Shared chimney at centre with gables over
2 middle windows. Each house has a narrow middle bay for
entrance lobby and winding rear stair, kitchen using shared
central chimney, and end parlour. Single-storey gabled rear wing
to No 32 and 2-storeys l-bay end extension. 2-light flush
casement window with small panes over central door, 3-light
windows on each floor on each side.
