House. C16 altered in mid Cl7, jettied porch and 2 crosswings
c1935 in matching style. Steep old red tile roof to main range,
red tile roofs to wings. Timber frame on red brick sill
(renewed) with panelled basketwork pargetting between exposed
timbers and on the brick built half-timbered crosswings. 2
storeys porch has a jetty on 3 sides. A 4-cell, 2-storeys,
central-chimney lobby-entrance plan house facing S, with rear
stair tower under a catslide roof, and C20 matching crosswings
with heavily framed jettied gables on S. Old part 5 windows long
with central porch. Mullioned casement windows. Panelled tall
red brick central chimney, copied for W side chimney to W wing.
Interior has exposed timbers with chamfered axial beams, ogee
stops and chamfered and stopped joists in 2 central heated rooms.
Wider and heavier joists in E bay of 4.
