4/18 Granary S of farmhouse
at Finches Farm

GV II

Granary, now a coalhouse and store. Late C18. Timber frame
raised on tarred red brick plinth. Dark weatherboarded with
a steep red tile roof. A tall single-storey granary lying E-
W a little to S of house, with a door in each end. Central boarded
door with ladder in W gable. Heavy framed suspended ground floor
and loft floor. Bins remain along sides of ground floor. Side-
purlin roof. E half altered and red brick of former hearth shows
in E end. S side has 2 small openings near eaves, one louvred
and one glazed. Included for group value.
