House. C18, E bay added in later C20. Timber frame roughcast
with a dark weatherboarded apron and tall hipped thatch roof.
A single-storey, 3-cell, central chimney plan house facing S
with matching 1-cell extension at E end. Central red brick chimney
a third from W end, serves only one fireplace in middle room.
4 windows to S front with door in middle. Small flush box sash
windows each with round-headed upper light and corresponding
notch in the overhanging thatch intorduced in C20. Interior
retains structure of former hipped E end. Low walls with rooms
open to the roof. Interesting survival of a rural house-type.
