GV II

Summerhouse. Mid C19. Yellow brick with steep octagonal conical
old red tile roof with eaves overhang. 4 buff terra-cotta
columns on 3 open sides. A small octagonal garden building
facing S with paved floor. Barley sugar twisted columns with
Cornithian capitals and lower part of strapwork decorated with
naturalistic birds in high relief. Deeply moulded bases.
Monogram L D R on shield on outside columns. Fine horseshoe
shaped wooden bench with lattice back, carved brackets, and leaf-
trail pierced decoration.
