House. C16 or early Cl7, brick front C19. Timber frame on
stucco plinth, roughcast on rear and N end, weatherboarded S end
and rear wing, red brick facing to front. Steep old red tile
roofs. A 2 storeys and attics T-plan, central-chimney, lobby-
entry house facing W. Original outshut at NE. Later 2-storeys
rear extension. Irregular 3 windows wide W front with recessed
sash windows on 1st floor with 6/6 panes and segmental arches.
Similar arches to door in line with stack and wider sash windows
to right with 8/8 panes. 6-panel moulded door with lower flush
beaded panels. Moulded surround in recess. Elegant shopfront
of half glazed panelled door flanked by canted bays all linked by
moulded cornice and flat hood. 2 gabled dormers in rear slope of
roof. Projecting gabled rear wing behind stack probably houses
stair. Large central chimney with 2 square shafts set diagonally
on a moulded rectangular base across the ridge. Side-purlin roof
structure. Bellcast to front with projecting eaves with boarded
soffit. Flush box sash window on S gable. Lean-to
weatherboarded S extension with 4 panel flush beaded door and
large divided shop windows.
