Shop. Early C19. Roughcast over stucco plinth. Grey gault
brick face to S end where it forms part of the forecourt to The
White House. Low-pitched slate roof. A 2-storeys, double-pile
plan building with a central chimney in the front and rear
roofslopes. Roof hipped at S to complement No 44. Wide eaves
soffits. 2 windows wide W front with flush box sash windows,
moulded architraves and 6/6 panes. Under RH window a half-glazed
panelled door with fanlight, plain pilasters and flat hood on
cut brackets. Small contemporary shopfront with moulded caps to
pilasters, full entablature, dentilled cornice, divided window and
similar half-glazed panelled door with fanlight. Included for
group value.
