House. C16, interior altered early C18, and early C19. Timber
frame plastered with steep old red tile roofs. A 2 storeys and
cellars house 3 windows wide facing W, with a continuous front
jetty and rear wings at NE and SE. Tall red brick chimneys at S
gable and a third from N end, rise through front roof slope. The
symmetrical front has boxed eaves, 3 flush C19 casement upper
windows with moulded surrounds, colour-washed lead panel with
raised floral ornament as apron to middle window, a deep plaster
cove under the jetty returned at the ends, central battened and
studded door with fluted pilasters and small open pediment on
foliate brackets and winged head over moulded surround, flanked
by flush triple-sash windows with moulded surround and small
panes. Interior has soot-blackened, 3-bay, crown-post roof with
square posts and long curved 'braces to collar-purlin, clasped-
purlin roof in rear wing with inclined queen-posts, curved
tension braces in rear wall on Ground floor at N, C18 panelled S
room on Ground floor with 4-panel section of linnenfold panelling
over fireplace, C18 panelled S room on 1st floor with moulded
cornice, 2-panel doors with ovolo moulding and H-hinges.
