House. Early C18, interior altered early C19. Timber frame
roughcast. with contemporary red brick front. Steep old red tile
roofs. 2-storeys and attics T-plan house facing E with rear wing
extending as kitchen wing and stair tower in the S angle with the
front wing. Ambitious facade with giant order pilasters on a
high plinth with bold moulded wooden eaves cornice, interrupted
floor band, 3 box-sash upper windows slightly recessed with
moulded architrave and 6/6 panes, 2 similar windows on Ground
floor (restored in C20 with rubbed brick arches), and 6-panel
half-glazed door up 2 stone moulded steps, with rectangular
margin-light fanlight and timber doorcase with corner-shafts with
rings. Broad flat hood on large shaped brackets. Rear parts
have similar sash windows but 2-light casements light attics.
