House, now 3 shops and a flat over. S crosswing C16 or earlier,
main range and SW wing C17 or earlier. C20 shopfronts. Timber
frames roughcast, SW wing white weatherboarded. Steep old red
tile roofs. 2 storeys house facing E with low, 2 storeys S S
crosswing, higher 2-storeys main range, and SW wing of 2 storeys
with central chimney. Front has 3 upper windows, 1 in crosswing
and 2 in main range. 3-light flush casement windows. On S flank
a small 3-light casement 1st floor window near front corner of S
crosswing. Irregular arrangement of similar windows 2 to each
floor of SW wing with planked door next W corner. This wing has
heavy flat rafters. Crown-post roof with curved axial braces in
S crosswing.
