Police station and house adjoining, now a shop and house. Early
C19. Buff brick with slated roof. A tall 2-storeys building
facing E. Irregular front with panelled soffit to eaves
overhang, 3 regularly spaced upper windows, double doors in wide
doorcase up 3 steps at left hand end and adjoining 2 taller
windows to police office, single width door up 6 steps in similar
doorcase and taller and wider Ground floor window at right.
Recessed sash windows with flat yellow brick gauged arches and
6/6 panes (8/8 to right of house door). 6-panel (raised and
fielded but flush beaded bottom panels) doors in deep reveals
correspondingly panelled. Rectangular traceried fanlights.
Doorcases have reeded pilasters (double with double doors), full
entablature and frieze blocks.
