GV II


House, now a P.H. Early C18 or earlier. Timber frame roughcast
with steep old red tile roof and bellcast eaves. A long, 2-
storeys and cellar house facing S. 4 windows to 1st floor with
flush, 3-light casement windows. 3 canted bay windows to Ground
floor with door under 2nd window from left, and small 2 light
window to its right. 6-panel door in moulded surround with flat
hood on small brackets. Side-purlin roof structurewith drip-
board across each gable, linking the wall-plate ends. 2 rear
lateral external chimneys, serving the end rooms, of the 3-cell
plan. Said to have been a butcher's shop for 100 years. Manor
court held here in C19.
