House. Late C17 or early C18 extended to W in C18/19, single
storey front extension c1930. 2 storeys, timberframed, plastered
hillside house facing S with one and a half storeys W end much
lower and set at an angle. Steep old red tile gabled roofs. Roof
of older part asymmetrically pitched, with flatter slope and
higher eaves at front. 2 2-light windows with cast iron frames,
with rectangular panes and head on 1st floor but pointed lights
to Ground floor on front (now in glazed extension) and on W end.
Small boarded external door in apex of W gable. 2-unit central
chimney plan with W room a step higher. Door and stair at E end
against red brick chimney of E extension with its Ground floor 5
steps down. Central chimney rebuilt. Flat roofed well glazed S
extension for an artist. An interesting timberframed house of
c1700 with some alterations and Gothic cast iron casement windows.
