Gate piers, garden gate and frontage wall. C18 gate piers and
later C19 wrought iron gate set in late C16 frontage wall. 2
early C18 tall square brick piers flanking the farm entrance with
stone caps and large balls. To right of righthand pier a later
C19 wrought iron gate into the garden having running scroll
design in flanking standards and scrollwork overthrow. Late C16
red brick wall with 2 offsets and upper part rebuilt. English
bond brickwork with diaper of black headers. At S end sweeps up
to join former walled garden occupied by Orchard House. a group
of frontage structures of special interest in the history of Nine
Ashes. Essential to the group at the farm and part of a roadside
group with the C16 walled enclosure to Orchard House.
