Lodge. Early Cl9, modern low extensions at each end.
Timberframed roughcast square gate lodge with pyramidal slate
roof, fat octagonal central chimney and projecting central porch
with low pitched slate roof and cusped bargeboard with moulded
pendant. Broad moulded architrave to door 3 panels wide and 2
high. 3-light mullioned windows with lattice leaded glazing and
iron central casement. Projecting eaves and timber strips at
corners. White brick chimney has square base, octagonal shaft
and oversailing courses on angle-corbels. A picturesque gate
lodge of Gothic character of the early Cl9. Part of a group with
the former stables to S.
