Barn. C18 or earlier. Timberframed and weatherboarded on low
red brick plinth. Steep gabled roof now covered in corrugated
iron. A tall very long 7-bay unaisled barn with its gable to the
road and double doors on the S. It follows the N boundary of the
site and is shown on the Tithe Map of 1839. Curved braces to
cambered tie beams of clasped purlin roof. An historic
timberframed structure, important in the street scene and part of
the varied group around The Bell Inn. Included for group value.
