House. C18, altered in early C19. Red brick plastered on front
colourwashed at sides. Steep red tiled roof and front porch,
pantile rear lean-to. A tall 2 storeys and attics house, 3
windows wide, facing W. 2 room and central lobby plan with 2
external gable chimneys in red brick. Nearly symmetrical front
has 2 gabled dormers with bargeboards and 2-light Gothick
casements. On First Floor a 2-light casement over the porch
flanked by 3-light flush casements. Similar casement to right of
porch but 2-light French windows to left. These have same pointed
Gothick head to each light as all the windows. Square projecting
gabled porch with high pointed arched opening and small pointed
window in each flank wall. 6-panel half glazed door. The porch
is off-centre to the window over. An historic picturesque
Gothick house of great importance in the group in this part of
the Conservation Area.
