C17 or earlier origin (tablet at first floor level in rear range dated 1646)
extended and substantially altered in 1896. Part timber framed and plastered
extensions are plastered brickwork, with imitation close studded timbering
at upper floor level. Two storeys, three gables, one with projecting bay
windows. Original late Victorian cast iron windows throughout. Two central
doorways, one with C16-C17 decorated timber door frame. Central gable chimney
stack. Return frontage to east has three gables and three projecting bays
at lower level. Late addition to rear in character with front range.
