1/31 Roxford Bridge
- over River Lea

Road bridge. 1838, date on keystone. Buff stock brick. A single arch
with keystones. Plat bands to parapets with rounded copings. Pilasters
flank the arch with stone caps. Splayed abutments with square piers at
the outer ends. Constructed at a cost of £288 supervised by County
Surveyor. (Branch Johnson Industrial Archaeology of Hertfordshire,
1970). The N half of the bridge is listed under Hertingfordbury Civil
Parish in East Hertfordshire District, as item 6/72.
