House. C17, renovated C18, end extensions early C19. Timber frame on low
plastered sill, dark weatherboarded. Red brick N porch. Steep pitched
roofs, formerly thatched, now of old red tiles. 1½-storeys, 2-cells,
internal-chimney, lobby-entry plan house, set well back from road, facing
S, with lean-to end extensions. S front has 3 casement windows (middle
one on site of former central door), 3 dormer windows, and entrance into
E outshut. 2-lights flush leaded casements. C18 3-lights leaded casement
windows on N front, cast iron framed window in W outshut, and C20 brick
porch. Interior has exposed timbers, long straight braces in walls,
axial chamfered and stopped beam in W room with exposed joists. Axial
joists only in E room. Back-to-back open fireplaces.
