Early C16. Special purpose building originally unheated with single large
room on 1st floor and narrower rear wing at NE (RCHM typescript).
Subdivided for domestic use probably in C17. Timberframe plastered.
Steep old red tile roof hipped with plastered eaves soffit, External gable
chimneys in English bond. 2 storeys, 4 windows. Panelled chevron
pargetting to front with late C17 or early C18,3-light wooden casements
mullioned and transomed. C18 door and bracketed flat hood to No 1. C19
shopfront to No 3. Real wing timberframed part weatherboarded and part
plastered of 2 bays with internal stack. C16 heavy roll moulded cross
beams and wave moulded and bar stopped joists and axial beams exposed in
Gd floor ceiling of No 3.
