C17. Single storey house with attics. Timberframed with chevron panelled
pargetting and gabled steep thatched roof. Hipped thatched stable
addition to S end. 2 gabled dormers under thatch. Main door opposite
large central stack with stair adjacent. Long service end with second
fireplace backing onto a through passage. Weatherboarded gable to N with
evidence of purlin roof. 2 plank doors to W front with heavy frames and
rustic open porch to southern one. 2 light windows modern. Unstopped
chamfered axial beams suggest floor inserted in C18. Picturesque
roadside house.
