C16. Timberframe exposed under steep old red tile roof. 2 storey gabled
to street with upper floor jettied. Recently restored but photographs
confirm arrangement with close studding to both floors and gable, tension
braces halved over outside of studs on 1st floor, heavy cill above brick
base, and clasped purlin roof construction. Possibly part of a larger
structure, 2 bays, evidence of 4 light window on front with diagonally
set mullions - lefthand jamb and cill mortice remain (RCHM Typescript).
