C17/C18. Corner house of 2 storeys and attics with basketwork pargetting
(renewed) to front (W), N side and southern gable at rear. Weatherboarded
northern gable at rear. Steep old red tile roof, hipped at NE corner,
with pronounced bellcast to lower part and projecting eaves on canted
boards. U-shaped roof plan with twin gables to rear with sinuous C19
bargeboards. 3 window front with recessed wood casements of 2 lights with
6 panes each. Plank door in wood surround topped by C19 inclined hood on
curvilinear brackets. On N side on Gd floor, 1 casement window and a
half glazed door. Internal gable chimney on S part and smaller chimney to
N of ridge in N part of house. Picturesque corner building important in
views of Fair Green.
