Early C19 painted brick front to late C16 or early C17 timber-framed house. Slate
roof. Two storeys, 5 windows. No particular merit. Side elevation along
Water Lane. Plastered and C19 weatherboarded with old red tile roof. Two storeys
with jettied upper floor. An early C17 timber console beneath eaves between jetty and
return of front elevation. C19 side-hung sash windows and casements. Deep rear
courtyard is mainly weatherboarded. On south-west side is a C17 timber-framed
storehouse with tie beam roof. Interior of public house. Exposed timber beams and
plain C16 brick fireplace.
