c.1400 timberframed house, old red tile roof. Two and a half storeys. "Half Wealden"
type formerly with open hall on north, central cross passage and 2-storey bay on
south. Refronted C16. Two 4-light modern casements on first floor with original
surrounds. Identical casements in 2 modern dormers. Modern ground floor shop front.
Interior. Much exposed wall and ceiling timber. Two blocked mullioned windows on
first floor. East wall of first floor rear room has painted jacobean frieze.
