at St Edmund's College
(RC) (8m to SW of The
Hermitage)

GV II

Sundial. Late C17, possibly French in origin. White freestone
or weathered white marble. A slender square shaft on a moulded
base with cap covered in lead. About 1m high. Carved in relief
on each face of the Shaft a shield with ribbons securing it to
rings above. Each is different, and one has a mantled cresting.
Modern dial.
