1/20 Farmhouse at Labden's Farm

Farmhouse. C17 or earlier, ground floor faced in C18 brick, S
end wall rebuilt in brick in C19. Timber frame roughcast above
red brick ground floor. Weatherboarded at rear. Hipped old red
tile roof. 2 storeys and attics, facing E. 3-unit central-
chimney plan, lobby-entry house with later chimney at S end.
Front has 2 gabled dormers with casements. 2 3-light casement
windows on upper floor in flush frames. 3 similar on ground
floor with segmental arches. Enclosed gabled brick porch with 6-
panel door with bolection mouldings to top 4 panels and moulded
frame. Rear outshut under catslide roof with 3-light casements
and 6-panel door in line with front door. Brick S end has door
with recessed sash window over with 3/3 panes.
