House, now commercial premises. Late C17 or C18 refaced in early
C19. Timber frame roughcast on rear wing and weatherboarded,
front of grey gault brick. Steep old red tiled roof to rear but
front slope raised and slated. Symmetrical E facade of 2
storeys, 3 windows wide. Narrower central window over door.
Recessed sash windows under segmental gauged arches with stone
sills. 6/6 panes central but triple sash windows on each side
and to right of door. 6-panel flush beaded door deeply recessed
reached by 3 steps and a landing with railings. Pilastered
doorcase with full entablature, panelled frieze and moulded hood
on scrolled brackets. Panelled reveals. Mid C19 shop front on
left with radused corners, fascia, dentilled frieze and fluted
trusses. Side passage has doorcase similar to main door.
