Coaching inn or commercial establishment, now 2 houses. Later
C18 renovated in early Cl9. Red and blue chequer brickwork with
hipped slate roof. A long 2-storeys building with rear wings and
courtyard reached through tall central carriage entrance.
Asymmetrical front with overhanging eaves and plastered soffit.
8 windows long (one a blank recess). Recessed sash windows with
8/8 panes and deep segmental gauged arches. On lower floor on
left (No 32) a moulded doorcase with flat hood or moulded
brackets (renewed). To right a 6-panel door in moulded panelled
doorcase with early C19 reeded surround, corner blocks and flat
hood extending over simple projecting shop window to right.
Projecting chimney stacks on N flank.
