Barn. C16, roof rebuilt in C19. Timber frame dark
weatherboarded on a low brick sill. Low pitched corrugated iron
roof. A 3-bay barn facing E. Central double doors to yard and
lean-to outshut opposite on W side. Unusual C16 wall framing of
low eaves height. Heavy jowled posts, long curved braces to
cambered tie-beams, cranked tension braces in walls with
alternate light and heavy studs and groove under wallplate for
wattle infill. Queen-strut roof with one purlin to each slope.
