5/12 Ford Bridge
(over River Rib)

Road bridge. Built 1766 replacing a Cl7 wooden bridge, repaired
1773. Red brick, 2 round-arched openings with triangular
cutwater between. Brick parapets rising to centre and widening
at abbutments. Flemish-bond brickwork with arches turned in 2,
9" rings. 4 cirular tie-plates of cast iron over each arch.
