House, sometime a public house, now 2 properties. C17 or
earlier. Timber frame roughcast with stucco sill and lower part
of front faced in whitewashed brick. Steep old red tile roofs,
half hipped with gabled rear wing (No 24) at SE. Slate gambrel
roofed single-storey extension to rear wing. Single-storey
extension to N, timber framed and roughcast with weatherboarded
apron and old red tile roof. L-shaped plan with rear lateral
chimney for N end chimney at junction of wings. 3-unit plan
front range with door offset to S. 3 windows to 1st floor. 3-
light flush casements. 3-light sliding casement to right of door
and 5-light casement to N part of ground floor. Pilastered
doorcase with panelled and half-glazed door and moulded hood on
elaborate shaped brackets. 2 storeys rear wing (No 24) has 3-
light sliding casement over canted bow oriel window on S to left
of plank door with 3 small lights and flat hood on shaped
brackets. 2-light Yorkshire sliding window to right with small
panes.
