TL 32 NW GREAT MUNDEN WOOD END ROAD

Barn. C17. Timber frame on brick sill, dark weatherboarded with
a steep half-hipped roof now of corrugated iron. A 5-bay single
aisled barn facing S into courtyard with aisle on N. Double
doors on S side of middle bay and small winnowing door off-centre
on N side. Jowled posts with long straight braces to tie-beams
and arcade plate. Face-halved bladed scarf joint over each
arcade post. Clasped-purlin collar roof with separate rafters
over aisle. Mid-height rail tennoned in line.
