Barn. Early C18, roof early C19. Timber frame weatherboarded on
low red brick sill. Low pitched slate roof. An unusually wide-
span (approximately 9m) tall unaisled barn of 7 bays with double-
doorways in the 3rd and 6th bays from W. Faces N into farmyard.
5 reused jowled posts, mid-height rails tennoned in line, and
straight tension bracing. Deep curved braces to tie beams. The
early C19 roof structure has a single purlin in each slope
supported on short inclined queen-struts and further braced by
straight braces from the tie-beam in the same plane as the
struts. Small curved collar between principals.
