TL 32 NW WESTMILL WAKELEY
1/4 Granary at
(15m to NW of house)
Granary. Late C18 or early C19. Coursed flint walling with red brick
quoining and dressings to openings. Roof now of corrugated iron. A decorative
Gothic granary with its main elevation on S end facing the farmhouse. Central
plank door with toothed brick surround. 2-centred pointed arched window
over flanked by small pointed headed slits and a pidgeons, alighting board.
Raised floor internally with segmental arched openings on elevation at ground
level below floor. Bins survive for corn on ground and 1st floors. Small
window under eaves on W and E.
