C18 with some refacing and alterations. Plum coloured brick, old tiled
roof with wooden modillioned cornice and 2 gabled casement dormers. 2
storeys and attics, plinth, first floor band. 5 first floor windows:
2 dummy, 5 leaded casements with wood mullions and transoms. Ground floor
sash windows with glazing bars. All windows in shallow reveals under
flat arches. Central door of 8 fielded panels in architrave frame under
traceried fanlight.

The Council Buildings, Nos 6, 6A, 8, 10, 10A, 12, 14, 14A, 14B, 14C, 16,
20, 24, 24A, 26, 32 to 42 (even), Gateway and Wall in front of Wynne's
Almhouses. Nos 46, 46A and 48 to 52 (even) form a group.
