walls to Codicote Lodge

and Heath Lane

Wall. C17 and C18. Red brick. Approximately 170 metres along
High Street. Shorter section at S end has much C17 brickwork and
half-heiqht buttresses. Wall breaks forward 75 metres N of
Heath Lane and continues in a late C18 section with chequered red
brick. Flat buttresses at 6 metre intervals. Pyramid coping.
Return wall at N end not included. Wall returns at S end along
Heath Lane to join Green's Cottage. Largely C17. 2 square
openings to C20 barn on rear side.- The wall is included for its
group value in the town.
