Hall house with cross wings, now 2 properties. Early C16. Cross
wing on E, now modified, is C16. Larger W cross wing is mid C17.
Late C19 red brick casing. W cross wing has exposed timber frame
and pargetting and large red brick chimney stack with 2 diagonal
shafts. Plain tile roofs. 1 storey and attics. C19 wooden
casements. 2 C17 gabled dormers. Chimney stack inserted into
hall in early C17 within a C16 smoke bay. 2 joined shafts on
ridge. Tall C17 stack on rear of E side. W end has catslide
roof (RCHM Typescript).
