House, probably early C16, altered C17. Timber frame, plastered. Brick
chimney stack. Steeply pitched thatch roof with tiles surrounding
dormer. Originally single cell with fireplace and entrance at far left;
extended to left and right. 1 storey and attic. 2 windows: 3 light
diamond pane timber casements; gabled dormer with 2 light casement.
Plank and muntin door. Exposed timbers at gable ends, Yorkshire casement
in right hand gable. Lean-to extension to left. Interior; low, slightly
cambered tie-beam, crown post remains although open hall floored over in
mid C17. Large fireplace with moulded lintel with quirk and tongue stops
of same date. A remarkable small late-medieval house (RCHM Typescript).
