House, now divided. Main range C16 origin but mid C19 in appearance. C18 wing to right, extended early/mid C19. Early/mid C19 wing to left. Later extensions. Red brick, all roughcast. Tiled roof. Half H plan with rambling extensions. Two storeys. Symmetrical seven bay front in one plane, 2:3:2. Ground Floor: French windows to centre and right with squared hood moulds. First Floor: small late C16/early C17 window openings survive in three central bays with casements under squared hood moulds. Other windows are glazing bar sashes. Central entrance; cast-iron porch with Greek fret frieze and pendants resting on wooden Doric columns. Roof to main range set well back behind a parapet indicating older front wall. Flanking hipped gables. Left return wall has steps up to an entrance with a mid C19 moulded doorcase. Right return has an external stack to left with tumbled-in brickwork at eaves level. Attached to rear of main range is a large stack with a group of five octagonal shafts, probably late C16. To right of this a large gabled dormer with an oculus. Further small two storey extension between wings in front of main stack. Other extensions are of no special interest.

Interior: early C18 main staircase to right of centre in main range; dog-leg open-well with barley-twist balusters.
