Barn with single aisle, probably late C18. Timber frame, brick plinth,
weatherboarded, slate gambrel roof. 4 bays. 2 windows in entrance
elevation. Tie beams with struts to rafters and collar beams clasping
purlins. Lightly jowled posts. Curved braces from posts to wall plates
and tie beams. Attached lower 5 bay range to S. Corrugated iron roof,
gambrel at S end. Central threshing bay on E front. Tie beams in this
range are re-used posts with trenches for lap joints. Collar beams.
Curved braces from posts to wall plates and tie beams. These barns form
the eastern range of a much altered open courtyard of farm buildings.
