House, probably once 2 dwellings. C16, floored and heated in C17,
extended C18 or C19, extended and altered C20. Timber frame with some
flint additions, all roughcast. Steeply pitched thatched roof.
Originally a 2 bay open hall, stack inserted, 2 bays added to right in
C18 and C20. 1 storey and attic. Entrance in left bay. 1, 2 and 3 light
flush frame C20 casements. Three 2 light dormers with thatched hoods.
Straight joint visible at right end of original building. 2 ridge stacks
between bays, rebuilt caps. Gable end to road with a 1 bay low
outbuilding attached. Interior: exposed frame with bracing, stop
chamfered bearers and joists, stairs behind earlier stack.
