(Northeast side)
4/10 Inglenook
House. Early to mid C17, extended C18 or C19, altered C20. Timber frame,
rendered. Thatched roof. 2 cell lobby entry. 1 storey and attic. Central
entrance in later 2 storey projection, falsely dated 1606 in gable, C20
rectangular bay window to right. C20 casements elsewhere. Central ridge
stack, rebuilt cap. Left end to road is half hipped. Right end has
exposed purlins, 1 storey C20 outshut. Lean-to additions to rear,
bakehouse behind stack with a slate roof, catslide roof over lean-to to
left. Interior: chamfered bearer and joists, inglenook fireplace,
exposed framing.
